What can I expect?
A welcoming and celebratory event filled with opportunities for local families of all ages and backgrounds to share and learn more about each other...
Drop in arts and crafts: Create your own family flag in your own time and with support and a selection of materials.
Piñata making workshop: Limited spaces for this guided workshop so don't forget to book your slot!
North Indian singing and sitar: Listen to some beautiful sounds and why not sing along too.
Chill & Chat: Take inspiration from cultural items designed to provoke interest, memories and conversation.
"Keeping Languages Alive" workshop: Share experiences and gain tips on how to keep your mother tongue alive at home.
Our Kitchen: Pot luck of culturally significant foods supplied by families and a meal provided by local caterers.
Family Disco: Dance to your favourite tunes and try your hand (and feet) at some Caribbean Quadrille Dancing!
What shall we wear?
Cultural/National dress encouraged.
Can I bring anything?
Food from your culture for the pot luck would be lovely (but is optional). A more substantial meal will be available at 5.30pm.
Who is behind this event?
